another great season

As the end of the summer season came to a close, seems like winter set in pretty fast! It's already time to get prepared for the winter and holiday season! We are getting prepared for our 3rd annual Holiday Missoula Made Fair. It will be at the Stensrud Building and the ZACC. We hope to see you all there! As I am busily working hard and making my own fossils into metal, I am continually amazed how beautiful nature truly is!

I use photos of plants and animals and etch them into metal, truly leaving nature's imprint. My designs keep evolving and become more intricate, as I explore new elements of balance and appeal....

I am currently working on my website, so stay tuned.....

The time is approaching for another Market to begin! Soon the streets will be filled with friends and family heading downtown on there bikes with there baskets filled with local fresh veggies and flowers. It's a time of new beginings! New creations and designs! I have not been making much jewelry since the holidays. I must say, it got pretty intense for me and I was ready for a nice break.
I may have had a break from the twisting, torking, hammering and soldering but my mind was still working. I am excited to bring out my new line of etchings. I have been inspired by yoga and have enjoyed creating and drawing mandalas. These drawings bring me calmness and I really like the addition of plants with them. I have also been intrigued with underwater creatures, like sea horses and octopus. They are amazing animals and it's another whole world in the sea! You may find my new creations as you stroll down the saturday morning market. I am also helping to plan our springtime MadeFair! It will take place at Caras Park this June, and we will have more than fifty artists there, lots of good beer and music! I will keep you posted, but also check out the link on the top of the page. Cheers to new times, beginnings, and spring!

It is tomorrow and it's along with the Zootown arts community center as well. It is at the Stendsrud building on the north side. The Kettlehouse Brewery was so kind to sponsor this event, so there will be a supply of Double Haul and Cold Smoke! The Kettlehouse will soon have it's new location on this same street on the northside...yippie! Please come and check out this event, but incase you miss it, I will be having a wine and jewelry MADNESS at my friends house next friday night, December 19th. Please check my facebook for more details....see you soon!

"what comes from the earth, will go back to the earth"

Wow! So I had a freind of mine take some jewelry of mine up to Glacier, one of the most beautiful places in this country, and take some shots of my work. When he showed me these pictures, I couldn't believe it! They are so beautiful! I am preparing myself to start a webpage, so I need something more than my little point and shoot, like I have been using. My friend uses a technique with the tiny pin light to get the contrast and detail of my jewelry. Shall I reveal his name?
Of course I will!
He is one awesome individual..and a great photographer as well...

fluidity....

I feel it is amazing that something hard and rigid as metal, can look so flowing. When I am heating silver, the colors that come about and the lava like movement of it amazes me. This is my passion. Using my hands and heat to create these beautiful designs...involving balance, shapes and a little engineering! Enjoy!
